This tournament is not only a way for our wrestlers to gain experience but this is also a major fundraiser for our club. We count on our parents and volunteers to help make this tournament a success. Everyone had the opportunity to sign up for an area of their choice at our registration station. A reminder card will be sent out prior to the tournament. We are asking each family to also bring baked goods packaged for sale at .50 each. |

If school is cancelled due to bad weather there will be no wrestling practice.
Parents are always welcome to stay in the room and watch during practice however, due to limited space and for safety/insurance reasons, if you need to bring siblings that are not participating in the program we ask that they stay with you downstairs in the commons area. Tables are available for you. Use of this facility is a privilege we do not want to lose. We are compiling a tournament file box with various registration forms from around the state. Some tournaments require your child’s USA wrestling card so make sure to keep it with you. Important - Please be sure to have your child take a HOT SOAPY shower after each practice. Always wash practice clothes and singlets after wrestling. Please do not bring your child to practice if they are sick. |

Club shirts are expected to be delivered no later than January 5th. Sorry for the delay. If your child is planning to participate in tournaments and you still need a singlet, the fee is $50 to rent the singlet and you will receive $40 back at the end of the season if the singlet is returned in good condition. Please call Sue Goeden at 262-689-3594 to setup a time to meet with her. If you rented a singlet with us please be sure to wash it by hand or in the washer, but DO NOT PUT IN THE DRYER. Line dry only as heat reduces wear. |

Due to the growing numbers of our wrestling club, the coaches came up with a new practice schedule which consists of two separate sessions. This decision was necessary for quality instruction and safety reasons. Starting Monday, January 5th there will be no more Tuesday night beginner practices. If you are 80 lbs or less, your practice is scheduled Mon/Wed from 5:15 to 6:30 pm. If you are over 80 lbs, you are scheduled to practice Mon/Wed from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. |

KIWC Practice Times Are Changing - January 5th |

On Monday, January 12th, Quick and Smart Photography will be here to take individual and team photos. Wrestlers should wear their club singlet if they have one or black shorts and their club t-shirt. Purchasing photos is optional, but we would like everyone included in the team photo. Individual photos will be taken during your child’s practice time, but the team photo is scheduled for 6:30 pm sharp. First session wrestlers should plan on staying an extra 10 or 15 minutes to allow for the group photo as the second session wrestlers are just arriving. Second session wrestlers should come early (6:15 pm) to get changed and be ready for the team photo. Order forms will be available up in the room to fill out in advance. |

Over the holiday break we have one practice scheduled and that is Monday, December 29th for those who wish to participate. |

On Thursday, January 8th, the high school wrestling team has a home match against the Kiel Raiders and the youth and their families are invited to attend. All wrestlers should wear their club t-shirt or sweatshirt for free admission. (Adults are $3.00 each) Please sit with your child in the designated area in the bleachers. (You will recognize this area by our KIWC banner) With our club members growing the school cannot have kids running the halls and under the bleachers. We want to leave a good impression. Please arrive by 6:15 pm at the KHS field house. The wrestlers will be introduced between the JV and the Varsity matches. Concessions are available. The youth introduction should be done by 7:15 pm. The Varsity matches could go until approximately 9:00 pm. GO INDIANS!! |

KIWC Youth Night - January 8th |

We as a club are trying to put together a club / family outing to do a wrestling tournament out of town where the kids and family can relax and enjoy each others company. We have decided to do Adams/Friendship tournament which is 18 miles from the Dells. We would be staying at Mt. Olympus Friday, January 23rd, wrestle at the tournament on Saturday, January 24th, stay at Mt. Olympus Saturday night with checkout at 2:00 on Sunday, January 25th. The price is $89/night. We did this last year and it was a great time for all. We will have a pot luck dinner on Saturday night after the tourney. Our coordinator needs to know ASAP how many families will be attending so please return the bottom portion of the flyer handed out at practice to Coach Aaron immediately or email him at aarons495@aol.com. If you have any questions you can also call Aaron Smith at 414-235-0173 or 262-626-2510. Once you return your form you will need to call Mt. Olympus to transfer rooms to your credit card. Phone number to Mt. Olympus is 608-254-2490. Ask for group sales and for Kewaskum Indians Wrestling Club rate. All rooms must be on your credit card by no later than January 5th or we loose the rooms. |
